Hi, I’m Idan—a cybersecurity specialist with a lifelong passion for technology and the great outdoors. Whether I’m cycling, hiking, trekking, or climbing, I always find adventure in every journey. I also enjoy capturing these experiences through outdoor videography and photography.
My fascination with computers began in childhood. At 13, I joined a computer club where I learned programming and competed in school contests. It was 1988, the era of first-generation Romanian home computers like the ICE Felix HC-85, HC90, HC2000, TIM-S, CIP 03, and Cobra. This early exposure set the foundation for my later studies in mathematics, physics, and Information Technology during high school and university.
In 1998, I took my passion for adventure to new heights by joining the CETM Albamont mountaineering club in my hometown of Alba Iulia, Romania. Within a year, I felt confident enough to embark on solo hikes and expeditions with my wonderful wife, exploring many beautiful and intriguing places across Europe and the Middle East.
Throughout my life, I’ve nurtured diverse interests ranging from history, archaeology, and philosophy to electronics, software programming, web development, Linux, cybersecurity, painting, and digital media. More recently, I’ve even embraced motorcycling as a thrilling new pursuit.
I hope you enjoy exploring my content. I welcome your feedback via the Contact page, my YouTube channel, or through social media.
All the best,
Idan
